Who this policy covers

This policy covers Gwisted, an independent gaming project. It does not cover the external publishers or game services we link to. Their privacy policies apply when you visit them.

Account and profile information

When you sign up, Gwisted uses Supabase for authentication and database services. Account information includes your email address and authentication credentials handled by the authentication service. Profile fields can include your name, username, age, biography, avatar reference, main game, and visibility preferences. We also store account roles and account timestamps.

Depending on the features you use, we store followed games, training progress, improvement-plan summaries, and game-usage summaries. Guide contributors may also have drafts, submissions, and review history associated with their account. We use this information to provide the requested features, secure accounts, and review contributions.

Public profiles

Your profile visibility and sharing settings control whether other visitors can see your profile and selected details, such as favorite games, playtime, recent games, streaks, or an improvement-plan summary. Review these settings before making your profile public. Public profile content can be viewed or copied by others.

Cookies and local storage

Gwisted uses authentication cookies to maintain sign-in sessions. Browser local storage also holds feature data such as improvement questionnaires, plans, recheck results, and device-tracking preferences or cached usage summaries. These are functional storage uses, separate from advertising cookies.

You can clear cookies and site storage in your browser. This may sign you out or remove locally saved plans. Clearing browser storage does not automatically delete records already saved to your account.

Optional device usage tracking

In the Android experience, game-usage tracking requires opting in and granting Android usage access. It reads usage information for tracked game applications, including playtime and recent activity. Summaries may be cached on your device and synced to your account for dashboards and profile features. You can revoke usage access in Android settings; revoking access does not automatically erase previously synced information.

Advertising and personalization

Gwisted is preparing for advertising. AdSense is not activated by default. When advertising is enabled, Google and its partners may use cookies, device identifiers, IP addresses, and information about interactions to serve, measure, and protect ads. Third-party advertising cookies may support personalized advertising based on visits to this and other websites.

Where required, advertising storage and personalization depend on your choices through a consent-management platform. Non-personalized ads can still use cookies for purposes such as measurement and fraud prevention. Gwisted does not pass your email address, private profile fields, training plans, or device-usage summaries as ad-targeting parameters.

Analytics, hosting, and external content

The current application does not include a dedicated Google Analytics or similar visitor-analytics integration. Hosting, authentication, and database providers may process technical information such as IP addresses, request details, and security logs to operate and protect their services. External images and links may connect your browser to third-party servers. Optional gaming dashboards summarize your own usage data; they are not advertising analytics.

Sharing, retention, and security

Service providers, including Supabase and the hosting provider, process information needed to operate Gwisted. Information may be processed outside your country. Authorized administrators and reviewers can access information needed for support, security, and editorial review.

Account and feature data are kept while needed to provide those features, handle requests, and maintain security. Backup copies or records needed for legal obligations may remain after a deletion request. No fixed automatic deletion period is promised. We use access controls, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

Privacy choices

Manage profile visibility in your profile, clear site storage through your browser, and revoke Android usage access through device settings. The footer's Privacy choices link will open advertising consent controls once the consent service is connected; until then it leads to this section. No advertising consent is assumed from continued browsing.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your information, or withdraw consent. These rights and any exceptions depend on applicable law.
